Bonnie - Author of Bonnies Bites

Bonnie our totally blind "sweetie" who came to stay 6 years ago as her elderly owner died. Although she had no sight, it was thought she was blind from birth, she coped remarkabley well, she knew where her toy box was, on her favourite walk woud run of a lead and she could smell a crisp packet from another room! A year ago she was diagnosed with leaking heart valves and and a few months later had an eye removed due to the pressure glauecoma Recently she started to lose her hearing so we started to search the internet to try and find out information on how we could help her and to see her see if there where tips from people who had cared for dogs who were blind /deaf. She is the reason this site was created.

Snowdrop arrived on a doorstep one January.Hence her name as the first Snowdrops had just bloomed in the garden.Living rough and still a kitten she had been surving on birdfood. Owners could not be traced despite constant searching and she had no identification so she joined the gang!

Henri our elderly lady of 15 years.Our first resident cat before she came we had always been "dog" people. She came to us as a result of one of those promises that you make to a friend "of course we'll look after her if anything happens to you" assuming this would never happen or be so many years in the future that Henri would be an old girl and sleep all day. Sadly this wasn't the case.She had already had one home before my friend got her and now we were her third home and still she was not a year old. It was a learning curve for us all and we soon realised that cats are not like dogs, they don't go where you want them to and they climb!!!

Pumpkin - Author of Pumpkins Pleasures

Pumpkin is our little 13 year spooky furball. Found in a ditch as a kitten around the time of Halloween and riddled with fleas.Thought to have been dumped as it was in the middle of nowhere along a deserted road by a layby. She was just fortunate that someone happened to park up and find her.
