If I got lost would someone be able to identify me and return me home?.
Please make sure all us pets have have some form of identification.A good idea is to keep a photo of us just in case we get that wandering urge!
To have a photo of a missing cat, dog or any other pet will enable you to use it on a poster should we ever ever go missing and don't forget try to keep the photos of us realtively up to date, whilst our colourings may not change much we can look a lot different as a 12 year old cat or dog to how we did when we were a 12 week old kitten or puppy!
Pumpkin's pleasures
If I have a litter would you be able to find enough good homes for all the babies or will some of my descendants end up being strays?
Remember it's not easy finding good homes for us all .Whilst an average cat litter is between 2 -7 we could end up having as many as 15 kittens! and for puppies the world record stand at 24!
Rescue centres are bursting with kittens, puppies, cats, dogs and many other animals that are looking for a new home, some were once someones much loved pet and some have never been shown any love and kindness at at all.
I was lucky and found a new home after being dumped as a kitten, how about when choosing a pet considering giving some of my friends a chance.

Should I become ill would you be able to pay my vets bills?
Some of us dogs, or any pets, could be on medications indefinately or even for life, even if you have insurance, depending on the policy not all treatments may be covered.
If you leave it to late before you take out a policy age restrications may appply!

If you were taken taken ill suddenly, had an accident or should die do you know someone who will look after me, and can they give me the life style I'm used to?
A good idea is to have the details about us cats or any other pets you may have, written down and kept alongside your important documents and written into your will. Make sure the person who says they will look after them, really do want them, and can give them the lifestyle that your pet is accustomed to.
If you intend to leave money in your will for the care of your pet ensure it is done properly and legally as some unscrupulous people may say they will care for your pet in the hope they will inherit the money if the animal passed away.

Will you want me for all of my life or will you be bored with me when I'm old or ill?
I needed lots of attention when I was a puppy and still need it now I'm old and grey!
When choosing a dog, cat or any other pet make sure we suit your lifestyle and that you can handle all our needs, we can be very demanding and cost a lot of money!
